This place has absolutely the worst customer service EVER, I have been waiting for my delivery for almost two hours! I ordered online and waited for about an hour when I decided to call and check the status of my order. After taking my information, the "front desk girl " told me that my order was on its way. After another twenty minutes, I called back again only to be told that their broken fax machine had run out of paper. The manager was very helpful, he was able to correct the previous statement for the front desk girl and told me that the broken fax machine had run out of ink. It turns out my order was never taken in the first place!!! IF YOU ENJOY FOOD, NEVER ORDER TAKE OUT FROM THIS PLACE BECAUSE THERE WILL BE NONE IN YOUR FUTURE!

The food is pretty good and i almost have no problems with the service except for the times I ordered delivery. Every time I had food delivered I was missing chopsticks, no big deal. So when I placed my last order, I told the person that I needed them and also indicate that I was paying with a $100 bill for them to bring change. When food arrived, the driver didn't have the change for me so I had to get up and look for change myself to pay the bill when my whole intention to order delivery was to stay home and don't go out at all. When I called the restaurant they said they will "take care of the situation" but I never happened; in fact the restaurant and the driver were blaming each other. The cherry to top the cake? When I was ready to start eating after all this hassle, NO FORKS NO CHOPSTICKS!!!!! Really?

The food was decently priced and served pretty quickly after I ordered it. Also the restaurant is in a good easy to get to location, however the food was mediocre at best. I liked that the sweet and sour chicken was smaller than I'm used to but it could have been a tiny bit bigger and I miss having my sweet and sour sauce included little pineapple chunks and cherries like it does at Sum Yum Gai in South Beach. The beef and broccoli had very little flavor and a little bit of watery sauce. I like my beef and broccoli at a chinese place to have very thick sauce with lots of tiny garlic chunks and LOTS of the sauce smothering it. I think the owner of Hong Kong House should go to Sum Yum Gai and take note of how both of these items are made there. It's the only chinese place in all of south florida that i would consider excellent and i miss living in south beach and not being able to find good chinese food in miami. the girl workinig at the counter had a pretty bad attitude towards her coworker and was on her cell phone too much. sad when people dont take their jobs seriously with how hard jobs are to get now days.

Pretty solid for the price, lunch specials are a bargain at ~$6 for a huge togo container worth of food, had the Lo Mein , which was great one day and the Chicken curry on another day, which was so so. But their rice is decent, egg rolls are crispy and taste good, if not a little too oily, rangoons that come with meal are tasty appetizers.

Let's play a game called "Rename That Dish!" I'm not going to give away the original names, but I'm sure you can figure them out based on the descriptions. Mongolian Onions with Black Scallions An economical meat-to-white-onion ratio of 1:3, garnished with a few scallions that may have been scraped off the heating element. $10.50 Sour & Gelatinous Soup Chunks of soft tofu in a bath of sour brown water, warmed to sanitizing temperatures. $2.95 for a half or $4.75 for a full Chicken and Black Bean Water Chunks of crudite and boiled chicken in a pool of black bean juice. You can almost taste the aluminum. $5.25 for a half or $8.75 for a full. Bright sides: The rice is very white. Some of their dishes are actually pretty good but I can't remember which ones because I'm too pissed about my onion dinner.

The food is pretty decent but it could use some more fiber if you know what I mean...

If I want Chinese food, this is where I'll go, but it's still just okay. I called ahead of time and it still took a while to cook, but it wasn't bad. Wonton soup is good, but the chicken and broccoli had a weird white sauce with chunks in it that look kind of like fat. This is a similar sauce to at Atlantic Chinese and I'm not sure what makes it have these chunks. Maybe I should try ordering something else because I can't seem to find good chicken and broccoli anywhere.

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
